I’m Dr. Azka Bilal, a double board-certified psychiatrist in Adult Psychiatry and Child & Adolescent Psychiatry, based in Austin, Texas. I work with young adults, middle-aged adults, and older adults, helping people at every stage of life manage depression, anxiety, ADHD, bipolar disorder, stress, and life transitions. In addition to my adult practice at AzkaBilal.com, I also see children, teens, and families at Kiddo Psychiatry, the practice I founded to provide family-centered mental health care.

My career has included years of service at a state hospital, where I managed some of the most complex psychiatric and medical cases, and several years on a dedicated geriatric psychiatry unit, caring for older adults with dementia, late-life depression, and other age-related concerns. I also trained at leading institutions such as the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) at University of Pennsylvania, where I treated a wide variety of patients and gained a deep appreciation for how psychiatry can be tailored across the lifespan. I currently serve as Affiliate Faculty at the University of Texas Dell Medical School.

At my private practice, I provide adult psychiatry in Austin and telepsychiatry across Texas, ensuring access to care wherever patients live. My approach blends evidence-based psychiatric medication management with integrative strategies such as lifestyle interventions, supportive therapy, and holistic care—so every treatment plan is individualized.
